Aivars Krumins

Aivars Krumins is the Global Vice President – Downstream at McDermott International Inc. After training as a chemical engineer, he has held a series of executive roles in the industry over 46 years, with previous employment at CII members CB&I and ABB Lummus Global.

For the last 20 years, Aivars has proven to be a true CII champion and advocate, serving on the Board of Advisors. He has also branched out into other CII groups, leading a sector committee, a research team, and the Breakthrough Strategy Committee. He makes sure his colleagues are aware of CII resources and know how to implement them.

Thanks to Krumins’ years of dedicated service and leadership at CII, many have had the opportunity to meet him and perhaps even to serve beside him. Most recently, he presented the research results of RT-394 to the 2023 Annual Conference in San Antonio.
