Noé Sáenz has 25 years of capital project engineering, project and program management, and business development experience in multiple sectors such as power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, gas, chemicals, and industrial manufacturing primarily in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

He currently leads Burns & McDonnell’s program management organization in the U.S. South Central region, helping utilities and energy providers to plan, design, and build complex capital project programs and portfolios.

Saenz has served CII in various roles since 2009; member of the research team on reimbursable contracts, founding chair of the Next-Generation Leaders Community of Practice, Benchmarking Committee Co-Chair, Sector Leadership Committee Co-Chair, Board Advisor Alternate, and currently Executive Committee Vice Chair.

In 2016, he received CII’s Distinguished Service Award and its Community Leadership Award.

Noé holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila (Saltillo), an MBA in project management from Jones International University, and executive certificates in energy and finance from The University of Texas at Austin and Stanford University, respectively.

He was certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by PMI® in 2002 and certified as an Organizational Change Management Practitioner by PROSCI in 2023.

Noé is the author of the book Design & Build Your Future (May 2023), a brief guide for college and high school students to learn about the exciting world of construction and the many professional opportunities.
