Mansour Saad Al-Shehri is a veteran of the oil & gas project management industry with almost three decades of professional experience in the refining, petrochemicals, and process plants arena, covering operations, management, planning, and corporate engineering functions.

Mr. Al-Shehri has served in several leadership and prominent positions, most notably as the current Vice President of Saudi Aramco of Downstream Project Management (DPM), responsible for the execution of a portfolio of complex and challenging mega and giga-projects. The sheer size and complexity of these projects requires him to manage multiple teams that are spread out in several geographical locations. Mr. Al-Shehri leads with his own style, as is recognized by those around him. He is an active listener and he has used this skill to proactively improve not only his own company, but the industry as a whole. His belief in empowering and inspiring his teams is the key to their success.

Mr. Al-Shehri is committed to promoting and implementing modern environmental practices. He has championed a digital passport for new materials in the oil and gas industry, to improve procurement and supply chain processes and to combat counterfeit material. Mr. Al-Shehri also chairs the Board of Trustees for a national construction training center that trains, develops, and certifies young Saudis in various construction disciplines. His level of competency has positioned Mr. Al-Shehri as a distinguished and respected leader within the construction industry.

Mr. Al-Shehri is committed to the safety of his team members. He and his team received the CII Implementation Award in 2017 based on their advocacy for the improvement and implementation of safety standards. He can be routinely found on construction sites performing safety walks, which give him “ground realities” of projects and the field personnel.

Mr. Al-Shehri has implemented innovative concepts and technologies to improve the safety, sustainability, and performance of operations. Through his mentorship, his team is leading an effort to standardize the design, layouts, and connections details for launchers, receivers, and valve stations in pipelines, creating opportunities for modularization. Mr. Al-Shehri’s championship of standardized software is helping his projects run more efficiently, streamlining staff training and saving countless manhours.
