CII’s model of combining the process expertise of academics with the domain knowledge of owners and contractors has been vital to advancing our industry. As an academic, I value the domain expertise and collaborative spirit of my research team members. Without this industry wisdom and commitment, project management research would not have the power that CII research has to improve capital project delivery.

Dr. Fernanda Leite,

Assistant Professor of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin

The members of CII represent some of the most successful companies in the world. With a forum for researching and sharing best practices within our industry, CII participation is a tremendous advantage. The vision for CII is improvement of the capital facilities sector, and CII member companies are helping drive that success.

David McKinney, Vice President, Nuclear Construction,

Southern Company

Most owners are now focused on improving the way they plan and execute their projects with a heightened goal of meeting planned ROIs. They see implementing formal industry wide best practices from organizations such as CII as a key part of meeting their planned ROI goal.

Michael Dubreuil, CEO,

PTAG

CII provides a valuable avenue to develop future leaders within our company.

CII is the only organization in the country that has a focused benchmarking program for capital projects in the healthcare industry. Understanding the metrics used by our peers in facilities construction has proven to be extremely valuable to our business.

Ralph Rodriquez,

Kaiser Permanente

In 2015, we shifted to CII’s PDRI for all of Lilly’s major capital projects. Using the PDRI checklist, we are able to compare our results to the rest of the industry, and this tool allows us to create our own ‘internal’ norm, as well.

Eli Lilly and Company
