Materials management is a process that requires single point responsibility, early planning, and effective communication tools. This course addresses tools and concepts that have been proven to help contractors and facility owners achieve improved craft labor productivity, reduced materials surplus, cash flow savings, and an ability to meet the project schedule.

The course will identify the elements that comprise a proactive, integrated material management process and help develop an awareness of the importance of early and continuous planning for effective material management. Also covered is the relationship of tools and concepts to commonly encountered project materials challenges.
