Vassiliki Demetracopolou

Graduate students are commonly one of the most critical resources for the success of any CII research team, but Vassiliki Demetracopolou has gone above and beyond the role of a graduate research assistant in her support of RT-390.

Team members noted that Vassilina was instrumental in organizing and leading team activities, ensuring the success of the project. She was effective in leading the project’s regular progress updates to the Funded Studies Committee, guided the team through its rehearsals as it prepared to present its findings, and ultimately was one of the team’s presenters at the 2023 CII Annual Conference.

Vassilina completed her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin and has accepted a position as assistant professor at Rutgers University. CII is pleased to recognize Vassiliki Demetracopolou as an Outstanding Student.
