Important Information about the CII Spring Board of Advisors Meeting

As COVID-19 (coronavirus) diagnoses continue to increase worldwide, CII remains committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our member volunteers and staff. Because of this uncompromised commitment to HSE, the leadership of CII has made the tough decision to postpone the CII Spring Board of Advisors meeting next month, in St. Petersburg, FL. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you or your organization.

We are currently exploring alternate options to deliver the originally planned content to our Board representatives in a timely manner. CII does plan to use part of the time allocated on April 14-15 to provide you with this important information via a virtual platform. As soon as we have a solid plan for this, we will share these details with you. We thank you for continuing to hold these dates (April 14-15).

As you know, CII is a part of The University of Texas at Austin and we must follow their lead. If the university should make the decision to “close” for any duration of time, your CII staff is prepared and equipped to work remotely. Your access to CII resources and support will remain the same; however, we will keep you apprised if our team needs to make the transition to telecommuting.

As the situation with the Coronavirus continues to evolve, CII’s Communities for Business Advancement (CBAs) are sharing information about impacts to jobsite safety and supply chain performance. We plan to share relevant information with the entire CII membership via webinar or blog articles . . . please watch for an announcement.

At CII, we have a safety first culture – and these measures will help protect not only our volunteers and staff, but also our community as a whole. We will be continuously monitoring the situation as it evolves and will make adjustments to our policies accordingly to help keep everyone safe and healthy.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. If you have already registered to attend the Board meeting next month, your refund will be processed automatically to the credit card used to register. You will receive an automated email notification once this occurs.

Meanwhile, CII is still planning to hold the Annual Conference & Innovation Showcase (August 3-5) in Denver, as scheduled. CII staff has recommended, and the Executive Committee has endorsed the decision to cancel face-to-face meetings through the end of April, until further notice.

Thank you for understanding.

Best Regards,
Stephen Mulva, CII Director
