New Leadership for the Technology & Innovation Committee

We are pleased to introduce the new Technology & Innovation Committee Chairs!

Rama Challa - Chair

Rama has been actively involved with CII since 2013. In addition to the Technology and Innovation committee, he is also a part of the Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure Sector Committee. He previously worked on the Benchmarking Committee and two CII research teams.

Rama is Director of Projects for the Atmospheric and Cryogenic Storage Business Unit at Matrix Service Company. He has a Ph.D. in structural engineering from Iowa State. He is registered as a professional engineer in multiple states in both US and Canada. Rama brings to the table over 30 years of experience in engineering and management related to hydrocarbon, chemical, LNG, industrial and nuclear facilities.

Coila LaFleur - Vice Chair

Coila is an Enterprise Architect for Engineering and Projects at ExxonMobil Technical Computing Company, supporting ExxonMobil Global Projects Company and other ExxonMobil affiliates.

She has been with ExxonMobil for 21 years. She brings to the table her experience in technology in many areas, including connected worker, automated anomaly detection, location tracking, and many other areas relevant to construction.

Coila is a newcomer to CII; she joined in 2020 when she began supporting the Capital Project lifecycle, after having spent 20 years supporting “life after handover”: manufacturing maintenance, reliability, monitoring, and optimization activities.

Join us in welcoming Rama and Coila. The Technology & Innovation Committee is looking forward to reaching higher grounds under their leadership.
