2025 Award Recipient - Martin Swaine

Martin Swaine has been a long-time leader in the industry and in his role with Shell to advance the implementation of technology on capita projects. He boasts a long and impressive 22-year career with Shell, 14 years before that with KBR (Brown & Root) and has a consistent record of supporting industry organizations that improve the way we build, like CII, Fiatech and COMIT – promoting the use of technology to improve project performance.

Martin was very active in establishing standards for the implementation of both ND CAD as well as data standards. He received the STAR award in 2015 for his leadership in the AWP Information Mapping (AIM) project. This was the predecessor to the AWP Data Requirements work you might be familiar with from CII. Martin is a true thought leader and people have learned to pay attention when he speaks. Demonstrating his passion for advancing technology across our industry is what made Martin Swaine a clear stand-out for the Porter Award this year. Please join CII in congratulating Martin.
