CII Best Practices Bootcamp
A New Professional Development Opportunity You Don’t Want to Miss:
CII partnered with UT’s Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE) office to develop this professional development course for early-career professionals and their busy schedules. This intensive three-day in-person course will introduce you to CII and our seventeen Best Practices through a good balance of lectures and learning activities.
Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with fellow attendees who are new to CII, building valuable relationships in an industry where networking is essential.

Who Should Attend
Designed for early-career professionals (0-5 years), but open to anyone who wants to learn more about CII Best Practices.Enrollment is limited to 30 students to ensure the highest caliber of interaction among the participants.

There is also an hour-long virtual follow-up session, where we will discuss how you plan to implement a CII Best Practice on the job, explore ways to stay connected to CII through our Communities for Business Advancement (CBAs), and answer any questions you may have.

The Bootcamp will be in Houston, TX (exact location TBD)Registration Fee
The fee for a single registration from a CII member organization is $4,000.The fee for a single registration from a non-member organization is $6,000.
The registration fee includes tuition, course materials, and planned meals.
Please note that April 9, 2027 is the cutoff date to receive a full refund of the registration fee. Refund requests submitted after this date will not be eligible for a full refund.
Travel Logistics

The cost of your hotel is separate from the program, and we leave the choice of hotel up to you to better accommodate organizations with different travel policies and preferences.Meal Information
A Networking Event will be held on Tuesday. Meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snack breaks, will be provided on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Breakfast only). Dinners on Wednesday and Thursday will be at your discretion.Attire
As you plan to stay in Houston, business casual is customary for daily sessions.May in Texas can be unpredictable, but typically, the highs are in the high-80s and lows in the mid-60s. Please check the weather forecast before your travels.

Heather came to CII with varied experience in the retail space, from team manager to project management for an e-commerce marketing department. In these positions she created work flow standards, and put in place processes where there weren't any and is now putting that knowledge into practice by supporting our Deployment efforts.
Erika Corbell

Originally hired to manage CII publications in 2009, Erika quickly transitioned to supporting various CII initiatives and committees over the years. Most recently, she served as the Project Manager for Deployment.
Before joining CII, Erika was the Director of Volunteer Services with Special Olympics Texas, managing its state-wide volunteer program requiring thousands of short-term and long-term volunteers each year.
Erika brings this same passion to CII volunteers, helping them get the most out of CII’s research through our professional development and implementation programs.
She holds a Master’s in Education from Texas State University at San Marcos.
