CII Nuclear Power Capital Projects Forum

The CII Nuclear Power Capital Projects Forum convened in April 2026 in Austin, Texas, bringing together industry leaders from 23 owner organizations, 30 contractor organizations, 35 service providers, and 8 academic research institutions to explore the current state of the nuclear power industry and identify strategies for more effective project delivery. Forum discussions highlighted lessons learned that have driven the adoption of more collaborative contracting approaches, updates on advanced reactor development from a national laboratory, and Texas’s coordinated efforts to address the growing demand for a skilled nuclear workforce. Reinforcing the importance of CII Best Practices, participants also took part in a workshop that supported the development of a new CII Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) tool tailored for nuclear power projects.
