Abstract

The Counterfeit Materials Database is an MS Access-based resource that users can deploy to establish their own internal databases of counterfeit, fraudulent, and suspect items (CFSI) events, and to assess their exposure to CFSIs. The database template tracks incidents of CFSIs in the construction supply chain, records types of items found, and prompts users to calculate and map their probability and the likely severity of their impacts. It also matches mitigation strategies to CFSI items, depending on their probability and severity ratings.
