2026 Award Recipient - Ted Blackmon

CII is proud to recognize Dr. Ted Blackmon as the recipient of the 2026 James B. Porter, Jr. Award for Technology Leadership. A pioneer in the digital transformation of capital projects, Ted has spent decades advancing technologies that improve project execution, safety, productivity, and decision-making. Through innovations such as ConstructSim and OpSim, and leadership across organizations including Construct-X, O3, WorkPacks, AWP-U, Optimality, and Jovian Ventures Studio, he has helped transform emerging concepts such as Digital Twins and Advanced Work Packaging into practical, industry-changing solutions.

From his early work at NASA to his contributions to CII's Digital Thread initiatives, he has consistently championed innovation, collaboration, and industry standardization.
