RT-413: Current State of Supplier Qualification
As global supply chains face growing uncertainty, traditional supplier qualification methods focused simply on financials, insurance, and safety are no longer sufficient to ensure project success. While CII research has demonstrated the value of early supplier engagement and collaborative delivery models, these concepts have not been translated into modern, actionable qualification criteria. As a result, organizations often miss opportunities to engage suppliers early, limiting innovation and increasing supply chain risk. The study developed a comprehensive guidebook to equip owners and EPCs with a structured approach to more effective supplier evaluation, strengthening resilience and improving project performance in today’s dynamic capital projects environment.
