RT-410: Implementation and Value of CII Best Practices
CII has developed proven Best Practices (BPs) that enhance capital project performance. Many organizations still desire to assess the value of these practices and understand how their implementation compares across the industry. To address this need, CII launched Research Team 410 to gather concrete, measurable data on BP implementation and its impact on project outcomes. Through comprehensive surveys, participating companies gained critical insights into their project performance, including how effectively they implement CII Best Practices and where improvement opportunities exist. This effort ensured a richer, more representative benchmarking database, allowing both long‑time and new CII members to benefit. The findings enable organizations to identify best-practice implementation gaps, compare their approaches with broader industry norms, and better understand which practices are most beneficial. These insights empower project teams to strengthen execution, leverage CII content more strategically, and demonstrate clear value to organizational leadership, providing a strong, data‑driven case for continued investment in CII membership and Best Practice adoption.
